DNX8120 Install in my 2008 Corvette Z06
|
|||||
| Optional - NPP Exhaust Control | |||||
| While simple in concept, the ability to control external devices from the DNX8120 is cool! This feature allows you to control your NPP exhaust valves when used with an external relay. Now you can have truly integrated NPP exhaust valve control without the need for switches, extra boxes or remote controls. This write-up is similiar to my AutoZone wireless NPP exhaust control. Since I installed the DNX8120, I no longer use my AutoZone wireless kit. The DNX8120 also remembers your last setting at each startup! | |||||

| Wiring | |||||
|
1. Pull back the floor mat and panel to expose the fuse panel on the passenger side floorboard. 2. Remove the seat heater fuse and the exhaust fuses. The seat heater is the fuse located at the top.
3. Insert the removed fuses in the Littelfuse Add-A-Circuit Fuseholder. It's a tight fit, press hard.
6. Connect (solder and shrink wrap) one of the external switch wires 1 (or 2) from the DNX8120 to pole 86. 7. Connect (solder and shrink wrap) pole 85 from the relay to the amp ground previously mentioned. 8. Connect (solder and shrink wrap) a wire to pole 87 on the relay. Crimp the male push on connector to the otherside of this wire and push the connector into the "now open" LEFT SIDE of the exhaust mini fuse slot. 9. Now you can tuck away your relay. I attached velcro to it and stored it under the amp as below.
10. Your installation is now complete. You now need to program the switch on the DNX8120 to send a "level signal" to the wire that you used to connect to pole 86 of the relay. The DNX8120 enabled you to send a pulse signal or level signal. |
